Pencil Holder

you will need a container in the shape of a tube.

some paper, paint or fabric/felt.

a circle of thick card - it needs to bigger than the base of the tube.

stickers or material shapes of your choice.

glue

optional googly eyes, wool, etc... to create a character.

get an adult to cut the tube to the desired height.
now cover the outside of the tube in felt or paint. once done leave this to dry.
you can now firmly attach the base circle of card (this is to stop the container tipping over), paint/cover it first if you wish

if you want you can make yor container look like a person/animal/monster by adding a face and feet.

once the tube is covered, and the base is secure you can decorate your pencil holder however you like!!!

HAVE FUN!

Malteser Traybake

Malteser Traybake

200g Digestive Biscuits
100g Margarine
3 tablespoons syrup
200g Maltesers
200g chocolate

Melt marg and syrup in pan, take off heat add crushed digestive biscuits and mix well. Add Maltesers (whole or crushed – I usually do a mixture) and spread into a swiss roll tin. When set, cover with melted chocolate. I sometimes use white chocolate for the topping!

Backing Paper 1 - Marble Rolling

If you want to make your own backgrounds for cards or ATC's you could experiment with marble rolling.

If you have one, wear an apron for this.

you need 1 tray.
1-3 marbles
teaspoon - might come in handy!!
a sheet of paper
paint in a variety of colours.

put each colour of paint in a seperate container, into each one add a marble.

now put a sheet of paper onto the tray. now place the marble/s onto the centre of the paper, and gently tip the tray in different directions. Stop when you are happy with the result!!

Once it's dry you can ask an adult to help you cut this to the size you need. When this is done you can add it to the card or ATC.

Crafts 4 boyz

Hello.

Well having read a post on the Docrafts forum from young Andrew (aged 5) I wondered if it would be possible to create an online craft magazine/blog aimed at the younger boy.

I'll have to see what I can come up with over the next few weeks/months.

Best get creative!!
